Getting Debbie to eat her vegetables is taxing to my limited creative juices. When it came to getting Debbie to eat her vegetables, I had the mentality that, "she needs to eat these and she's going to eat these because that's what I say." Well, all those with older children know how well that works... So, last time we had green beans with dinner I was able to get Debbie to eat them by having us pretend to be bears and the grean beans were fish and we would wiggle them in the air and then eat them. That worked last time well, so I figured "Great, green beans are good, no more problems." Wrong. We sat down to dinner tonight and Debbie saw the green beans and stubbornly set her jaw and said, "I don't like fish." Okay, no bears, no fish. So I thought long and hard and finally decided to show her that green beans break apart, then I realized that the grated cheese we had with dinner fit perfectly in between the two halves, so I was able to get her to eat all her green beans because we had 'green bean sandwiches.' Victory! But, of course, that won't work next time we have green beans... My limited creative capabilities are not qualified for these kinds of rigorous demands!

You are doing great, Flem loves green beans but some days will not eat them. Those are the worst, I don't think it will be a problem and then it is. I am sure soon she will like them, keep working at it.
That is too cute. She remembered them as fish :) she is so smart. Good luck next time.
