"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."-Emerson

Isaac Birthday

Isaac turned 6 last week! It wasn't his year for a big party so we just celebrated at home. And, true to Leah-form, I wasn't prepared with a cake or cupcakes or anything. We did, however, have little ice-cream cones and he was awesome about us putting a candle in that.

Our terrific wrapping job...

Can you tell what he asked for for his birthday...?

He is getting so good at being independent. He makes his own sandwiches all the time and even makes sandwiches for his sisters if they ask. He's very creative too. He likes cheese and pickle sandwiches, but he's willing to try pretty much anything. My favorite sandwich that he made was a pickle and mango sandwich. He actually ate it, if you can believe it.
