"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."-Emerson

Easter with the Shapiro's

We went up to my parent's house on Saturday for Easter and it was a lot of fun to see all the Shapiro family!

There were soooo many eggs! There weren't nearly enough places to hide them so after attempting to hide a few eggs we ended up throwing most of the eggs randomly throughout the grass.
But the kids all had fun!!
I'm so thankful for my beautiful nieces, they are so good to their younger cousins and our kids just love them!

"Great Valley"

A couple weeks ago one of Debbie's friend's mom was kind enough to take Debbie with her and her kids on a walk around our neighborhood. Debbie came home raving about how she discovered "Great Valley." It was cute, but also a little annoying, she's getting to that age now I guess. :) Anyway, I said we'd go find it another day and for once I followed through in a timely manner. And sure enough, we followed the apartment complex along the side of the mountain and soon we were in the wild, pretty crazy. It was really pretty up there and we got to get a pretty up-close view of some deer as they lept across the path.

First Tooth!

It appears that my kids literally make me crazy. So, in an effort to keep me sane and out of the hospital, my brother and sister-in-law kindly took the kids for spring break.
Anyway...
Isaac lost his first tooth at their house today! And, to show what an aware mother I am, I had no idea it was even loose. But he's thrilled and we're excited for him!
And, cute story about Cosette... while we were on the phone with Isaac, Cosette told Kimberly that she wanted to talk to me. She got on the phone and said, "Hi mom, I want to talk to daddy." Haha, no question who the favorite is there. Then while she was talking with Chad he mentioned that it was past her bedtime to which she responded, "Daddy, I love you but I'm going to go play for a little longer, bye." Ahaha!
Thank you Ron and Kimberly!!

Bragtime

I am so proud of Chad! He's so amazing. This year at the Chemistry Awards banquet he won another prestigious award. This year it was the Garth L. Lee award and he was the only recipient. And as far as I could tell, it's the highest award the department offers. I was beaming when he got the award and have been beaming ever since.

Bedtime

It was time for bed tonight and Cosette didn't want to go to bed so Chad said if she was out there she had to be his pillow. She jumped all over that! And then Isaac decided to be his blanket. :)
