"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."-Emerson

FHE With Grandpa

This post is a little late...

We had our Shapiro family Christmas party on the Monday after Christmas and it was decided that because it was Monday evening Grandpa would give a Family Home Evening lesson to all of the grandkids. It was so neat! It was a special thing to see all the grandkids gathered around Grandpa looking up at him and listening closely to what he was saying. There were at least two-thirds of the grandkids there listening to his lesson. His lesson was on our Creator and how there is no way we came to be by chance. He gave them each a picture of a watch and explained how intricate and complicated it is and how there is no way that a watch could just 'happen,' it has to be made. And we are like watches, we are too complicated and special to have just come together by chance, we have a Creator who made each of us. It was a great lesson and he was able to keep the kids attention throughout. And I thought it was so awesome to see all the kids there gathered around Grandpa. Thank you Dad. :)

After the lesson we all gathered around Grandma so she could pass out the presents from Grandma and Grandpa to everyone. Yes, it was as chaotic as it looks. :)

We sure love our family!!!
