"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."-Emerson

A Story Problem

This evening the kids were watching the Brady Bunch while we fixed dinner for them. At the beginning when it shows the whole family in the squares Debbie noticed that they had six kids, 3 boys and 3 girls. So Chad asked her how many more boys and girls we would need to have 3 boys and 3 girls in our family. "Umm, 6?" No. "3?" No. So we left it at that and forgot about it. It was worth a shot but she's a little young to be doing math story problems, right? Well just now, a full THREE HOURS after the fact she suddenly shouts from her room, "Hey Mom! I've got it! We need 2 boys and 1 girl!"

I'm happy to hear my kids aren't the only ones that watch the brady bunch. Are you really planning on having that many kids?
